San Fiesta

January 18th, 2009

Are you coming to San Antonio for fiesta?  Night in old San Antonio is one of the biggest bashes around along with the St. Mary’s Oyster Bake.  The weeklong fiesta event attracks thousands of visitors from all over.  In fact, many San Antonio Hotels are overbooked.  Be sure to make your reservation now if you plan on attending.

If you are looking to travel for cheap, there are a number or smaller inns and motels that are available.  Many people do not travel to fiesta directly.  What usually happens is VIA bus transports people downtown and then takes them back to their original parking spot.  This might be at Crossroads Mall, a popular shopping mall in San Antonio.

Many people also go to market square and La Villita on weekends to embrace San Antonio’s culture and open marketplace.  These are also big tourist attractions as many homemade items are up for sale such as paints, shirts, music instruments, crafts, and much more.  Sometimes there are live bands at night.  Around the RiverWalk at night you will find many San Antonio bars such as Club Rive, Pat O’Briens, and Polyesters.

When arriving from the San Antonio International Airport, there are many car rental places available.  Be sure to study which car rentals are offering specials and deals for the day you are arriving.  Some of the most famous San Antonio restaurants include Los Barrios, Alamo Cafe, Mamma Margies, La Fogata, MiTierra’s, and Mamacita’s.  Of course, there are also many golf courses to tee off at as well.  To ensure your vacation to San Tx is one of the best, make sure to plan ahead.  You may want to email a San Antonio Blog to ask for advice on getting the best deals and finding the hot spots in South Texas.

During your vacation, you may want to even travel to 6th street to party with Austin.  6th street is world famous for its legendary parties and bars.  When you finish your visit, send an email to let us know how everything went.  San Antonio is usually a refreshing place to travel for most people.  The traffic is very manageable and an even better highway system is currently being implemented to ease traffic.  Houston on the other hand is notorious for grid locked traffic during rush hour.  If you desire to visit Corpus Christi during your stay, it’s only about 2.5 hours away depending on where your hotel is located.  If you are staying downtown at the RiverWalk then it might be only 2 hours.
